Suspension of Express Processing in RCOs

In view of the heavy volume of passport applications received by RCOs (Regional Consular Offices) and the on-going system maintenance at the BSP-EPC(Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas - E-passport Personalization Center), DFA OCA (Office of Consular Affairs) suspends the application for express processing in RCOs until such time that e-passport production normalizes.


DFA Accreditation of Travel and Recruitment

This is to inform all Regional Consular Offices (RCOs) that OCA is now accepting application for the accreditation of travel and recruitment agencies, both for first time applicants and for renewal, from 01 June to 20 August 2013

  • Must have good interpersonal skills

  • Must have good communication skills (oral & written) in English and Filipino

  • Must be Computer-Literate (can type fast/ accurately)

REPLACEMENT OF THE DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL MACHINE-READABLE PASSPORTS (MRPs) WITH A DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL E-PASSPORTS

TO ALL HEADS OF DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OWNED AND CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS AND GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS, PROVINCIAL GOVERNORS AND CITY MAYORS AND ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS/EMPLOYEES WHO ARE HOLDERS OF DIPLOMATIC OR OFFICIAL MACHINE-READABLE PASSPORTS:

The DFA has phased out the issuance of the series of Philippine diplomatic and official passports which do not contain the signature of the bearer.

However, there are still a number of these types of diplomatic and official Machine Readable Passports (MRPs) that are currently being used by government officials/employees for their official travel abroad.

Considering that this type of passport is no longer being issued and with a view to facilitating the official travel of concerned government officials, please be advised that the diplomatic or official MRPs, without signature of the bearer, particularly the following series will be replaced/renewed with a diplomatic or official e-Passport before the next intended official travel abroad:

Diplomatic Passport Series Nos. : DP0004240 to DP0008389

Official Passport Series Nos. : OF0008212 to OF0020000


ASEAN-PHILIPPINES PAINTING CONTEST

In commemoration of the 46th Founding Anniversary of ASEAN on 7 August 2013, the Office of ASEAN Affairs is organizing a painting contest with the theme “Our People, Our Future Together.” This painting contest aims to bring ASEAN into the consciousness of the Filipinos and encourage participation among Filipino artists. The contest is open to all Filipino artists from 15-30 years old.

Interested participants are required to submit the following requirements:

Duly accomplished Entry Form (copy attached) including:

  • Artist’s name and a short biography (maximum 400 words)
  • Title of the artwork and brief description
  • Medium used, size and year it was made

Five (5) of 5” x 7” high resolution photos of the artwork:

  • 1 Full Shot
  • 2 Close up (details of the painting)
  • 2 Progressive shot (while the artwork is being done)
  • One (1) 1” x 1” photo of the artist

    Original or reproduction of sketches or studies must be submitted

    Entries must be submitted on or before 10 July 2013 to the Office of ASEAN Affairs: 8th Floor, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City or through email: aseandivision4@gmail.com.

The National Youth Commission (NYC) is now accepting applications for the 40th Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP).

Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to travel, aged between 18-30 years old as of April 1, 2013 and of good moral character.

Applicants may mail or bring their application to Ms. Marielou A.
